2 Night Uluru / Ayers Rock Package

Day 1: Arrive in Uluru - Uluru Sunset Tour

Arrive in Uluru in the morning or around midday and catch the shuttle bus to the resort before beginning to explore Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. You are welcome to take part in the afternoon resort activies including Didgeridoo playing, Spear & Boomerang throwing and Wakagetti Cultural Dancers. In the afternoon you will be picked up from your hotel where you will taken by coach to the sunset viewing area. Enjoy nibbles and a glass of wine as the sun sinks over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is famous. Departs: Daily 75 minutes prior to sunset from Ayers Rock Resort Returns: 20 minutes approximately after sunset to Ayers Rock Resort .

Day 2: Around Uluru - Uluru Sunrise Tour & Afternoon Kata Tjuta Valley of the Winds

Rise early this morning to travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area. Watch the first rays of dawn whilst enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. For those with a good level of fitness there is the opportunity to climb Uluru. Alternatively, non-climbers can choose to take a peaceful stroll along the Mala Walk (non guided), which winds among the bloodwood trees alongside Uluru. After the climb, join your Driver/Guide for a tour around the base of Uluru. Travel by coach to the Mutitjulu Walk where you will be escorted to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole. View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area as your Driver/Guide points out some native flora and explains the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Visit the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you can learn about Aboriginal culture and see Aboriginal arts and crafts, before returning to your hotel. Departs: Daily 90 minutes prior to sunrise from Ayers Rock Resort Returns: 12.00pm approximately to Ayers Rock Resort

After Lunch back at the resort you will be picked up to travel to the mystical Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) where your Guide will explain the geological history of the area. You will then be escorted on a 2-3 hour walk to the Valley of the Winds lookout. Marvel at the unique flora and admire the view of the central valley of the domes of Kata Tjuta. Take in the magnificent outback sunset at Kata Tjuta whilst enjoying a glass of sparkling wine and experience the spirituality of this amazing location that embraces everyone who ventures here. Departs: Daily 2.00pm (Mar - Oct) and 3.00pm (Nov - Feb) from Ayers Rock Resort Returns: 40 minutes approximately after sunset to Ayers Rock Resort.

NB: The Valley of the Winds tour requires a good level of fitness. If you would prefer a less active tour - you may choose to travel Kata Tjuta Mystical 36 Domes, continue to the base of Walpa Gorge then return to Uluru for a sunset viewing whilst enjoying sparkling wine and nibbles.
