Field of Light Experiences
|
|
The Field of Light is a landmark art installation
by international artist Bruce Munro. The largest Field of Light to date, more
than 50,000 stems crowned with frosted-glass spheres,
will bloom as darkness falls over Australia's spiritual
heartland. Guests can immerse themselves in Munro's
grand-scale experiential artwork through a number
of touring options. The solar-powered installation
opened 1 April 2016.

Field of Light Pass

The magnificent Field of Light experience
begins with a convenient hotel pick-up
and transfer to the remote desert
location. Guests then have ample
time to immersive themselves in
the monumental light installation
as they walk through Field of Light. There are three departures each night. NB: This pass does
not give access to the raised viewing
area

Field of Light Star Pass
|
|
The experience begins with a convenient hotel pick-up and short transfer to the remote desert location with majestic views of Uluru.
You’re welcomed at an exclusive dune top just after the sun has set on the horizon. Savour a selection of outback canapes with sparkling wine or beer as your host provides insight into the light installation that awaits you. As darkness falls, 50,000 glass spheres gently come to life. Covered under a sky brilliant with stars, Field of Light beckons you to explore and lose yourself momentarily in the rhythms of coloured light.

A Night at Field of Light
|
|
A Night at Field of Light' experience
begins with a convenient hotel pick-up
and transfer to the remote desert
location with majestic views of
Uluru. With Uluru as the backdrop,
guests enjoy canapés and chilled
sparkling wine to the sounds of
a didgeridoo as the sun slowly sets.
As darkness gradually falls and
the coloured lights of the 50,000
glass spheres come to life guests
enjoy local Indigenous performance,
welcoming them to this unique country,
before being invited to join their
fellow travellers at their dinner
table for a special three-course
bush tucker inspired buffet menu.
A knowledgeable guide will provide
insights and background to the monumental
installation and guests are invited
to immerse themselves and walk through
Field of Light. After dinner guests
are welcomed back at the dune viewing
area to enjoy a sweet treat, hot
chocolate or port whilst viewing
the illuminated installation in
the darkness.

Sunrise at Field of Light
|
|
This morning you will be picked up at your accommodation in a luxury coach.
You’ll travel the short distance to the exclusive Field of Light location.
British artist Bruce Munro is best known for immersive large-scale mixed-media installations based on his
interest in the medium of light. With just enough time for some background commentary on the internationally
renowned artist, you will arrive very excited to see his latest artistic endeavour.
Arriving in complete darkness, you will be able to enjoy the 50,000 spheres of light in the desert,
before making your way up the hill to the Field of Light sunrise viewing area. Once at the viewing area,
you will be served you tea, coffee or hot chocolate. You can enjoy your beverage as the sun starts to creep
light throughout the sky and then watch in awe as it pops up in the distance behind Uluru, flooding the landscape,
including Kata Tjuta behind you, with light. As the natural light brightens the landscape, the Field of Light will dim for the day. Enjoy some amazing photos from this unique raised location that allows you to view both Kata Tjuta and Uluru in all their natural glory.
