SEIT ULURU TREK (Sunrise Base Walk)

You will join your guide on a trek around the base of Uluru as you explore the most profound and culturally significant monolith in Australia. Your guide will meet you at the entrance to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.

As you start your sunrise trek around the 14 kilometre base trail of Uluru you will embrace the culture, geology and environment that is the essence of this amazing monolith.Your guide will tell the cultural stories (Tjukurpa) of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python), well as many other Aboriginal creation stories associated with this central Australian icon.

Along the trail you will visit waterholes and the rock art sites of the ancients and learn of Uluru's cultural significance to the Anangu (local Aboriginal) people.

You will witness a spectacular sunrise and absorb the majesty of this powerful place.

On completion of your journey your guide will then return to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.

Departs: Tour departs approximately 5.00/6.30 and returns 6 hours (14km walk).

SEIT ULURU HIGHLIGHTS (Sunrise Base Drive)

As you travel towards Uluru it's vast shape rises from the sand dunes in the early dawn light highlighting the presence in this country

Your guide will take you to a special location to watch the sun rise over this amazing monolith. You will learn the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) and hear about the Mala people.

After breakfast you will visit Mutijulu Waterhole and then drive around the base of Uluru before returning to the resort.

Departs: Tour departs before sunrise from all hotels at the Ayers Rock Resort and returns in 3 hours

Inclusions: 3 Hour fully guided tour, Outback Picnic Breakfast, Uluru Sunrise

SEIT ULURU (Sunset Vehicle/Walk)

Embrace the culture, geology and environment that is Uluru on this afternoon tour. Departing the resort the tour will travel via vehicle thorough the landscapes to the entrance of the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park.

From this point it is only a matter of minutes before the spectra of Uluru rises from the sand dunes to demonstrate its enormity and presence in this country.

As you drive around the base, your guide will take you to the entrance of Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent watercourse nestled in the contours of Uluru. Here you will learn the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) and their battle for control of Uluru as well as a number of other stories associated with other prominent Tjukurpa (Dreaming) stories. You will see the rock art of the ancients and learn how Uluru was, and still is, a significant location for teaching young Aboriginal people. We then adjourn to the new Talinguru Nyakunytjaku viewing area where you will observe an uninterrupted view of Uluru with Kata Tjuta in the background.

Your guide will then return to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.
